Hi, everyone. My name is Amy, and I live in Louisiana. I am 25 years old. I recently got married in June of this year. One month later my nephew came to live with my husband and I. Then about 3 weeks ago, my 12 year old sister came to live with us. We have been having a very hard time paying our bills because we are trying to give our kids a good life. Well, for the past month now, we havent had much food in our home, and I tried to apply for assistance, but didnt get it because my husband makes 1400.00 a month which is not enough. We have a house note that is 500.00 a month, and our electricity bill is right at 300.00 a month. Then we have other bills on top of that, and by the end of the month we have nothing left over, not even enough for food. We are good people, all we do is try to keep these kids happy, and provide a good stable home for them.I have a degree now, and am currently in school to earn my bachelor's degree. I have been looking for employment, but havent had much luck. We really need some assistance. Anything will help. Christmas is only two weeks a way, and there isnt a present under the tree. Please help us, if no help with money, at least with food, and presents for the kids. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
